This collection of two wines, which come from very special vineyards, is truly beyond comparison. World class – Wine from the oldest and highest vineyard in the world

A real superlative present. You could not offer wine as a gift in a better way!

Have you been invited by a lover of fine wines? Are you wondering to yourself with what wine you could possibly surprise a wine connoisseur you know? Would you like to offer wine, but nevertheless, you also want to offer an original present that causes a sensation? Then our Vinissimus collection of superlative is exactly the right thing. As every wine lover should have at least drunk these two wines at least once:

RHODTER Gewürztraminer, from the oldest vineyard in the world: Did you know that the oldest vineyard in the world can be found in Germany? Actually, this vineyard gem is located in the Pfalz region, in the ‘Rhodter Rosengarten'. Vines were planted here as far back as 400 years ago. Thanks to the vineyard's deep roots, it was able to survive for example, the grape phylloxera catastrophe in the 19th Century. It goes without saying, the Gewürztraminer from this special vineyard is the speciality of the Oberhofer estate, which is owned by the vineyard. An exquisite Gewürztraminer (‘Auslese' dry) which satisfies the drinker with its characteristic fine aroma of roses. A venerable pleasure!

AMALAYA, from the highest vineyard in the world: The Bodega Colomé from the Calchaquí valley in Argentina cultivates a remarkable red wine on the highest vineyard of the world (above 3,000 m). Situated in the north west of Argentina, the vineyard benefits from the special microclimate of the region. This wonder of the ‘vineyard' world also attracts attention through the name of the wine that comes from it. This is because, in the language of the original inhabitants, Amalaya means ‘Hope of a wonder'. It is mainly Malbec grapes, but also Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannet and Syrah which lend Amalaya its multifaceted, fruity and aromatic tastes. Together, they make this purple-red wine an utmost pleasure to drink.

Whether for an interested wine novice or a specialist wine connoisseur – with this unusual gift of wine, you will please the recipient twice and give him/her lasting enjoyment. The Vinissimus collection of superlatives is exclusively available from Historia. A rare gift of choice.
